About The Position

The mission of Louisiana Economic Development is to cultivate jobs and economic opportunity for the people of Louisiana. Incumbent will serve as an executive assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, high-level administrators, managers, industry division directors, economic development professionals and in some cases subordinate staff of those individuals in the Innovation Division. Incumbent is required to exercise a high degree of independent judgement, professionalism, discretion, and initiative in dealing with both normal assignments/activities and non-routine situations. General supervision is received from an unclassified Chief Executive Officer or a high-level administrator or manager in the classified service.

Requirements

  • Five years of experience in administrative services.
  • Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 hours, which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage executive calendars, travel arrangements, and meeting coordination.
  • Prepare confidential reports, correspondence, contracts, and other business documents.
  • Serve as liaison between executive leadership, staff, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, invoice processing, and purchasing documentation.
  • Organize meetings, events, and presentations; record and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Maintain office records, databases, filing systems, and incentive program files.
  • Conduct research and prepare reports, studies, and presentation materials.
  • Provide administrative support for special projects and daily office operations.
