About The Position

The Administrative Assistant / Front Desk Agent supports hotel leadership with day-to-day administrative work and welcomes and assists guests at the front desk. The position is part of the opening team for The Cantio, a new 97-room boutique hotel in the Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Muncie, Indiana. The role balances administrative assignments with front desk coverage and requires coordination with hotel leadership and other departments.

Requirements

Previous administrative or office support experience is required.
Previous hotel front desk experience is required.
Friendly, professional approach and a genuine desire to help others.
Strong organization, communication, and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and ability to learn new systems.
Ability to balance guest needs with administrative deadlines.
Dependability and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Availability to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Support hotel leadership with correspondence, data entry, filing, reports, and meeting coordination.
Organize materials, maintain checklists, and assist with administrative preparations for the hotel opening.
Greet guests and handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest questions.
Process payments, maintain accurate records, and handle confidential information carefully.
Answer and direct calls, respond to inquiries, and coordinate requests with the appropriate department.
Balance administrative assignments with front desk coverage and communicate priorities with hotel leadership.
