The Administrative Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the strategic operations of a department by providing advanced analytical, operational, and administrative support. This position requires the ability to manage complex tasks, evaluate processes, and implement improvements that enhance overall efficiency within the agency. The Administrative Analyst will collaborate with senior leadership, provide insight through data analysis, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the agency’s goals. This is a dual role position for Arkansas Tobacco Control. The positions functions as the agency receptionist and Agency Document Examiner. Daily activities include: Receptionist - answering phones, assisting walk in customers, handling agency mail, directing tax payers to others staff members or areas of operations, etc. Document Examiner - Receiving and reviewing all applications for permits. Working with customers to ensure all paperwork is correct and additional documentation is submitted. Handling background checks tax clearance checks. Data keying all information into the agency record management system and issuing permits when process is complete. The mission of the Department of Finance and Administration is to provide Arkansas citizens convenient, effective, and courteous service which will encourage voluntary compliance with tax, license, and child support laws.
