About The Position

The Adjunct Instructor, Microsoft Applications/Business will instruct students in assigned subjects, such as Microsoft Applications I & II, using varied methods and integrated technology. The role involves maintaining student records, developing and revising curriculum, and collaborating with the Business Program Team. The instructor will also stay current in their subject area through professional development and promote a Culture of Belonging by supporting an environment where all individuals feel welcomed, valued, and empowered. This is an on-site position with a regular class schedule.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Education, Information Technology, Instructional Technology, or Adult Education.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in the Business World or teaching Computer Applications in the educational setting.
  • A Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification is required within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct students in assigned subjects (e.g., Microsoft Applications I & II) using varied methods.
  • Effectively apply engaged learning to teach a class using integrated technology.
  • Maintain attendance, achievement, and progress records.
  • Implement teaching strategies, monitor and evaluate student progress, including assessment with strategic planning and data collection as needed, and keep accurate student records.
  • Develop and revise course curriculum, materials, and evaluation methods.
  • Collaborate as a Business Program Team member, supporting college services.
  • Stay current in subject areas through ongoing professional development.
  • Support and promote an environment of belonging where all students, faculty members, and college employees feel welcomed, valued, and empowered to contribute.
  • Foster a community where each individual and their varied perspectives enrich the educational experience and create a safe and respectful environment.
  • Support the College’s policies and programming related to access, fair employment, and equal opportunities for all.
