About The Position
BridgeValley Community and Technical College invites applications for adjunct (part-time) positions to serve in the Academic Affairs Division. These individuals will be responsible for the instruction of credit courses and clinicals; and maintaining lab equipment/areas as assigned. These positions will also be responsible for instruction of accelerated courses when applicable. We are seeking adjuncts to teach sections in the following discipline: Allied Health. Course(s) available are Introduction to Healthcare, Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, OSHA for Allied Health, and Gerontology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field
- Two or more years of recent healthcare related experience relevant to course taught
Nice To Haves
- Master’s preferred
- Teaching experience
- Aptitude for using technology and innovative methods for instructional delivery
Responsibilities
- Instruct credit courses by identifying learning outcomes/competencies, developing lesson plans, syllabi and curriculum which establish and communicate clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects
- Complete required recordkeeping and grade entry for assigned courses
- Stay in communication with assigned Department Chair and Dean
- Maintaining lab equipment/areas as assigned
- Instruction of accelerated courses when applicable
Benefits
- The standard rate of pay per credit hour is $660.
