About The Position

Join Grand Canyon University’s College of Theology as an adjunct faculty member on our traditional ground campus. The College of Theology offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in Christian Studies, with areas of focus including Youth Ministry, Pastoral Ministry, Biblical Studies, and Christian Leadership. Adjunct faculty provide engaging, high-quality instruction using innovative teaching methods, current technology, and relevant industry practices. If you are passionate about ministry, education, and supporting students in their academic and spiritual growth, we encourage you to apply. Courses are in-person and on-campus for the Spring 2027 semester. This honors course is an introduction to the Christian worldview and how it shapes beliefs, identity, values, ethics, and cultural awareness. The focus of this honors course is to engage students in discourse about what it means to think and live as a follower of Christ within a historical, global, and social context.

Requirements

Masters in Divinity (PhD preferred) from an accredited college or university with coursework in Bible or theology or history of Christianity or apologetics
2 or more years professional experience in the pastorate or teaching Christian Worldview at the post-secondary level.
Attach unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees.

Responsibilities

Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
