Requirements

• Minimum Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Current, unencumbered North Carolina RN licensure with at least 2 years of work experience (4000 hours) as a registered nurse.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret required course content and technical skills as required for the NC Department of Health and Human Services curriculum instruction.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from instructors, students, staff, and the public.
• Current license as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing required.

Nice To Haves

• The applicant meets at least one of the following: a) completion of a course in teaching adults; b) experience in teaching adults; or c) experience in supervising nurse aides.

Responsibilities

• Instruct allied health courses as needed in the classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
• Maintain student files for state compliance.
• Assist with the preparation of labs for state testing.
• Assist with other recruiting and marketing needs.
• Assist with ordering equipment and supplies as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and college committees as requested.
