About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring an Addiction Therapist at Avenues Recovery at Bucks. The role provides individualized, evidence-based treatment and clinical support to clients receiving addiction treatment. The therapist manages the clinical needs, services, and aftercare of an assigned caseload; conducts individual, group, family, and couple therapy; and works with the Clinical Director, treatment team, and families to coordinate care. The position also involves crisis prevention and response, thorough clinical documentation, and modeling recovery principles and professional ethics.

Avenues Recovery Center at Bucks is a community-based, residential-style outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation program offering partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services. The facility partners with Crosswalk Sober Living, where clients can reside in a domestic setting with 24/7 supervision and care. The multidisciplinary staff includes therapists, nurse practitioners, addiction counselors, and behavioral health technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
• Excellent observational, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.
• Ability to set strong boundaries and maintain absolute confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree.
• Valid state licensure necessary to practice in this role.

Responsibilities

• Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for each client.
• Conduct individual, group, family, and couple therapy sessions.
• Manage clinical needs, services, and aftercare for an assigned client caseload.
• Prevent, intervene in, and de-escalate crises.
• Maintain documentation of client challenges, progress, relapse risk, and interventions.
• Coordinate care with the Clinical Director, treatment team, and family.
• Model ethics, honesty, accountability, dignity, respect, and recovery principles in professional interactions.
