About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring an Addiction Therapist at its Bucks location. The role provides individualized, evidence-based addiction treatment and clinical care for a client caseload. The therapist develops treatment plans, conducts individual and group therapy as well as family and couple sessions, coordinates care with the clinical team and families, and supports clients through crisis prevention and intervention. The position also requires thorough documentation and modeling ethical conduct, accountability, dignity, respect, and recovery principles.

Avenues Recovery Center at Bucks is a community-based, residential-style outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation program offering partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services. The facility partners with Crosswalk Sober Living, where clients may reside in supervised sober-living homes while participating in treatment. The workplace includes therapists, nurse practitioners, addiction counselors, and behavioral health technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
• Excellent observational, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.
• Ability to set strong boundaries and maintain absolute confidentiality.

• Master's degree.
• Valid state licensure necessary to practice in this role.

Responsibilities

• Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for each client.
• Conduct individual, group, family, and couple therapy sessions.
• Take responsibility for clinical needs, services, and aftercare for an assigned client caseload.
• Prevent, intervene, and de-escalate during crises.
• Maintain detailed documentation of client challenges, progress, relapse risk, and interventions.
• Coordinate care with the Clinical Director, treatment team, and family members.
• Model ethics, honesty, accountability, dignity, respect, and recovery principles in professional interactions.
