About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring an Addiction Therapist at its Bucks location. The therapist provides individualized, evidence-based addiction treatment to clients in a community-based, residential-style outpatient program offering partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services. The facility partners with Crosswalk Sober Living, where clients can reside in a domestic setting with 24/7 supervision and care. The therapist works with a team that includes therapists, nurse practitioners, addiction counselors, and behavioral health technicians to coordinate effective treatment and support recovery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
• Valid state licensure to practice in this role is preferred.
• Excellent observational, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.
• Ability to set strong boundaries and maintain absolute confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid state licensure to practice in this role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for each client.
• Conduct individual, group, family, and couple therapy sessions.
• Manage clinical needs, services, and aftercare for an assigned client caseload.
• Prevent, intervene, and de-escalate during crises.
• Maintain thorough documentation of clients’ challenges, progress, relapse risk, and interventions.
• Coordinate care with the Clinical Director, treatment team, and clients’ families.
• Model ethical conduct and recovery principles, including honesty, accountability, dignity, and respect.
