About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring an Addiction Therapist for its detox and residential treatment facility in South Bend, Indiana. The therapist provides individualized, evidence-based care for clients, including therapy, treatment planning, crisis response, documentation, and coordination with the clinical team and families. The role requires a master's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field, as well as valid Indiana licensure or certification as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.

Requirements

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
• Valid Indiana licensure or certification to practice in this role as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• Excellent observational, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.
• Ability to set strong boundaries and maintain absolute confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for each client.
• Conduct individual, group, family, and couple therapy sessions.
• Manage clinical needs, services, and aftercare for an assigned client caseload.
• Prevent, intervene, and de-escalate during crises.
• Maintain thorough documentation of client challenges, progress, relapse risk, and interventions.
• Coordinate care with the Clinical Director, treatment team, and families.
• Model ethics, morality, and recovery principles, including honesty, accountability, dignity, and respect.
