Acute Occupational Therapist
About The Position
The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and implements occupational therapy services for inpatients and outpatients referred for occupational therapy. The role involves varied day-to-day functions and requires service orientation, analysis, and sound judgment to provide comprehensive patient care. The position is based at MultiCare Auburn Medical Center, a 195-bed hospital with behavioral health beds, a Family Birth Center, a Level II NICU, a Level III Trauma Center, a regional heart and vascular center, and advanced surgical services. The position is 1.0 FTE, works day shifts, and includes rotating weekends.
Requirements
- Washington State Occupational Therapist license.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of previous occupational therapy experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform effectively in stressful and emergency situations.
- Evaluate and reevaluate patients, establish treatment plans, and modify plans based on patient needs and responses to treatment.
- Provide treatment interventions to outpatient and/or inpatient populations as directed.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in the medical record.
- Communicate with patients, peers, and other health professionals to coordinate patient care.
