Experienced Acute Care NP - Daytime PAT Clinic, Plano, TX
About The Position
Texas Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) Clinic at Texas Health Hospital Plano in Plano, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP who enjoys comprehensive patient assessments, collaborative practice, and helping ensure patients are optimized and ready for surgical procedures. This is a full-time employed position with a Monday-Friday schedule, day shifts from approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and no routine call requirements. The role is located at Texas Health Hospital Plano, one of North Texas' premier healthcare facilities. The position offers autonomy, team support, and meaningful inpatient experience within a supportive, collaborative hospitalist environment.
Requirements
- Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensed to practice in Texas
- Acute Care certification required where applicable
- Master's Degree Nurse Practitioner
- Must maintain board certification as required for licensure.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills
- Active listening and learning, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgment and decision making.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two years of APP experience preferred
- 1 Year As a Nurse or Nurse Practitioner. Pref
