Actuary / Staff Risk Analyst

As an Actuary or Staff Risk Analyst on the Risk Analytics team at At-Bay, your role will involve working with a talented team in modeling, risk analytics, decision engine, insurance, and tech product. You will contribute to At-Bay's risk assessment framework, making data-driven decisions that impact millions of dollars of exposure. This multidisciplinary role requires deep cyber and tech knowledge, business acumen, research, and analytical skills. Additionally, you will have hands-on operational responsibilities, gaining insight into in-house submission, quotes, binds, and understanding the business impact of each risk decision.

• Understand how Risk, Cyber Research, Security Services, and other teams operate at At-Bay
• Build working relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate to identify opportunities
• Gain knowledge of the Cyber insurance market and the associated exposures and risks
• Perform risk analysis to support strategic decision-making on profitability and growth
• Calculate and understand/explain key metrics
• Navigate through databases and dashboards/reports independently
• Collaborate with the Product Team to recommend and propose risk actions based on monitoring and review of internal tools
• Identify anomalies, trends, and business opportunities through analyses such as loss cost reviews, macro industry trends, and impact of mix shifts & past actions

• Actuary or Risk Analyst with a deep understanding of insurance
• Experience in modeling, risk analytics, decision engine, insurance, and tech product
• Familiarity with cyber insurance market and associated exposures and risks
• Ability to perform risk analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Proficiency in calculating and explaining key metrics
• Strong analytical skills and ability to navigate databases and dashboards/reports
