About The Position

The Village at Summerville is seeking a professional and compassionate Lifestyle Coordinator to help create a warm, homelike experience for residents and support them in living life to the fullest. The position plans and communicates activities, welcomes and orients new residents and their families, and assists with special events. It works with the Life Enrichment Director and requires experience leading group activities in a senior living or similar environment.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Human Services, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or another related field, or national certification as an Activity Professional.
• At least 2 years of experience leading group activities in a senior living setting or similar environment.
• Skills, talent, and interest in performing arts, arts and crafts, fitness and wellness, music, creative writing, or similar activities.
• Strong computer skills.
• Valid driver's license issued by the State of South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Plan activities by assisting the Life Enrichment Director.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities.
• Welcome and assist new residents and their families, and orient residents to the community lifestyle.
• Develop a working knowledge of applicable regulations and stay updated on regulatory changes.
• Communicate activities and events to the community.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for special events and parties.
