About The Position

The Village at Summerville is seeking a professional and compassionate Lifestyle Coordinator to help create a warm, homelike experience for residents and support them in living life to the fullest. The role assists the Life Enrichment Director with planning activities, encourages resident participation, welcomes new residents and families, and helps orient residents to the community lifestyle. The coordinator also communicates activities and events to the community and assists with setup and cleanup for special events and parties.

Requirements

Associate degree in Human Services, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or another related field, or National Certification as an Activity Professional.
At least 2 years of experience leading group activities in a senior living setting or similar environment.
Skills, talent, and interest in performing arts, arts and crafts, fitness/wellness, music, creative writing, or similar activities.
Strong computer skills.
Valid driver’s license issued by the State of South Carolina.

Responsibilities

Plan activities by assisting the Life Enrichment Director.
Encourage residents to participate in activities.
Welcome and assist new residents and their families, and orient residents to the community lifestyle.
Develop a working knowledge of applicable regulations and stay updated on regulatory changes.
Communicate activities and events to the community.
Assist with setup and cleanup for special events and parties.
