About The Position

The Activities Attendant provides a fun and safe atmosphere for children participating in the Paintbox program through guided activities, crafts, and learning opportunities. The role leads daily activities, oversees children’s safety and security, prepares and cleans up program spaces, welcomes and checks in guests, processes charges, communicates program information, handles reservations and phone calls, and maintains contact with guests before and after their visits.

Employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect hotel business needs and must attend scheduled or mandatory training sessions and meetings. Most tasks are performed outdoors in variable weather conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of work experience with children.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification.
• Availability to work varying schedules according to hotel business needs.
• Attendance at scheduled and mandatory training sessions and meetings.
• Ability to reach with arms and hands, bend and stoop, stand at a post for extended periods, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities and ensure all guests are participating.
• Ensure the safety and security of children participating in Paintbox programs and activities.
• Set up and clean up daily programs, including theme days.
• Welcome guests and ensure children’s information and release forms are accurately completed and children are signed in by parents or guardians before they leave Paintbox.
• Post charges to guest rooms and credit cards.
• Inform children and parents about daily crafts and activities.
• Handle reservation requests and incoming phone calls while meeting phone etiquette standards.
• Communicate current and upcoming programs, offerings, and family activities to resort staff and guests.
• Maintain relationships and communicate with past and future guests through pre- and post-visit correspondence.
