Acquisition Specialist - Mazda North
About The Position
McDonald Mazda North is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to support its automotive sales process and inventory operations. The role involves photographing every vehicle for the dealership website, maintaining inventory, and writing personalized vehicle descriptions. Although the position does not involve selling cars, familiarity with how automotive sales work is important. The role requires attention to detail and spending most of the day working at a computer, while also handling periods of increased activity and contributing to team goals. Some successful candidates have previously worked as automotive sales or service assistants. The dealership is part of the McDonald Automotive family and describes itself as a growth-oriented, family-owned and operated company that supports employee development through training and career opportunities. Evening and Saturday availability is required. A valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record are required to meet insurance requirements.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of cars, including makes, models, and general mechanical terminology.
- Ability to multitask and handle bursts of activity.
- Attention to detail and ability to work at a computer for most of the day.
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to go above and beyond for the team.
- Above-average writing and grammar skills.
- Working knowledge of the automotive sales industry.
- Ability to work evenings and Saturdays.
- Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record to meet insurance requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Automotive sales or service assistant experience.
- Solid automotive mechanical aptitude; formal technical experience is helpful but not required.
- Experience performing light-duty work on a personal vehicle or working on hobby or project cars.
Responsibilities
- Photograph every vehicle and upload the pictures to the dealership website.
- Properly maintain vehicle inventory.
