About The Position
An entry-level accounting specialist is needed to join the Accounting / Finance Team for a 2–3 month project. The role ensures timely and accurate processing of invoicing and cash application transactions in the accounting records. It is fully onsite in El Segundo, California, and pays $23 per hour on W-2.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Previous accounting experience doing similar work.
- A college degree in accounting or post-secondary coursework that includes at least introductory accounting.
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping, record keeping, and clerical reporting procedures.
- Detail-oriented, with a good work ethic and strong communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in Great Plains, QuickBooks, and online banking functionality.
- Previous collections experience.
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume, performance-based invoicing for very large customers.
- Reconcile accounts and adjustments.
- Prepare, maintain, and review accounts before entry in the general ledger.
- Communicate with Account Executives, Account Managers, and agencies.
- Handle internal quarterly audits with agencies.
- Make soft collection calls and/or send collection letters as required.
