In this role, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing payments, monitoring outstanding balances, and supporting collections activities to ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining positive customer relationships while safeguarding the organization's financial health. Location: Office-based role located on-site at our West Fargo corporate headquarters, 728 East Beaton Drive, Suite 101.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two years of accounts receivable, billing, accounting, or related experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, collections practices, and account reconciliation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills and a strong accuracy and detail orientation.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening, in accordance with applicable laws.
Responsibilities
- Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Apply customer payments, credits, and adjustments to accounts receivable records.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure prompt collection of payments.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and account inquiries.
- Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and maintain accurate customer account records.
- Collaborate with customers and internal departments to resolve account-related concerns.
- Prepare account statements, collection correspondence, and payment arrangements as needed.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounts receivable processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Support audits by providing documentation and account analysis as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
