About The Position

The Accounts Receivable Representative at RDO Equipment Co. manages customer accounts and supports timely, accurate collection of receivables. The role focuses on providing respectful, service-oriented customer experiences, maintaining strong relationships, and working collaboratively with field staff and internal teams to resolve challenges and support the business. The position is based at RDO’s Fargo, North Dakota Field Support Office in downtown Fargo. The representative helps support customers and teams across the company and contributes to shared accounts-receivable responsibilities.

Requirements

At least two years of experience in collections and/or a customer service-focused role.
Strong verbal, written, and phone communication skills, with a professional and respectful manner.
Basic accounting knowledge.
Confidence using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
Attention to detail and accountability.
Ability to meet goals and manage priorities independently and as part of a team.
Valid work authorization and ability to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, monitor aging, and proactively work to ensure timely payment.
Contact customers by phone, email, letter, and text to follow up on payments and maintain strong relationships.
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and detailed account notes.
Partner with field staff and teammates on shared responsibilities, including AR hotline coverage, inbox coverage, and monthly store review calls.
