About The Position

As an Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections Specialist, you will handle daily cash application activities, including bank and ledger reconciliation; deduction processing and collection; invoice collection; and resolution of customer accounts. The role supports accounts in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and also includes account setup and maintenance, credit review, departmental communications, and accounts receivable reporting.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Excel is required.
• Understanding of general banking procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of comparable experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply cash daily in Cashbook for the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
• Research short pays and deductions, and follow up with customers when applicable.
• Enter claims in the B2B claim system, track them, and follow up to ensure credits are issued.
• Perform accounts receivable offsets and write-offs to the General Ledger.
• Collect accounts in an assigned portfolio.
• Follow up on skipped invoices identified while applying cash.
• Collect invalid deductions and short pays.
• Provide document copies and proof of delivery (POD) documents upon customer request.
• Set up new accounts and perform customer account maintenance.
• Research new credit applications and analyze credit reports.
• Release credit holds for the assigned portfolio.
• Perform annual file revisions for the assigned portfolio.
• Manage departmental mailboxes and respond to credit inquiries.
• Prepare daily and monthly departmental accounts receivable reports.
