Credit & Collections Spec
About The Position
The Credit and Collections Specialist is responsible for collection activities related to past-due health insurance premiums and/or past-due health insurance claims. The role follows established guidelines to contact groups and collect overdue premiums or claims, research the validity of past-due or disputed debt, generate demand letters, and prepare reports on credit and collection activity for management review. This hybrid position is based at the Lake Mary, Florida office at 3200 Lake Emma Road. Associates are expected to work in the office one to two days per week and must live within a reasonable commuting distance unless an accommodation is granted. The schedule is Monday through Friday, either 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. or 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, and at least 1 year of prior commercial debt collection experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be within a reasonable commuting distance of the Lake Mary, Florida office, unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.
Responsibilities
