About The Position

Shamrock Roofing & Construction is hiring a part-time Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist for its Kansas City headquarters. The role focuses on securing payment for completed roofing projects by following up with insurance companies and coordinating with homeowners and Project Managers. It also supports related back-office work, including invoicing and permits or licensing. The position is in-office, Monday through Friday, for 25–30 hours per week, with flexible hours, and pays $20–$21 per hour. New hires complete a 90-day probationary period. Shamrock Roofing & Construction is a family-owned roofing and construction company serving Kansas City since 1977, with locations across Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. The hiring process includes a phone interview with the Recruiting Team, a short one-way video interview, and an in-person interview with the Hiring Manager.

Nice To Haves

Experience in collections, accounts receivable, or insurance claims.
Working knowledge of Google Workspace (G Suite).

Responsibilities

Follow up with insurance companies about pending payments for completed projects.
Coordinate between Project Managers, insurance companies, and homeowners.
Set up payment plans with homeowners when needed.
Locate hard-to-reach debtors and begin the recovery process.
Maintain clear, accurate records of communications and transactions.
Assist with related back-office work, including invoicing and permits or licensing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
