About The Position

Interior Exterior Building Supply is seeking a dependable Accounts Receivable Clerk to join its corporate accounting team in New Orleans. The role helps keep customer accounts accurate and current while providing service to internal and external customers. It is suited to someone with Accounts Receivable experience or an administrative background with strong accounting skills. Requirements

Associate degree in Accounting preferred, or equivalent accounting or administrative experience.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Professional communication and customer service skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Self-motivated, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

Previous Accounts Receivable or general accounting experience.

Responsibilities

Apply and post daily customer payments accurately.
Research and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely, professional manner.
Maintain accurate customer account records.
Prepare and process daily bank deposits.
Prepare journal entries, adjustments, accruals, and supporting documentation.
Assist with month-end accounting activities.
Work with customers, branch personnel, and other departments to resolve account issues.
Support the Accounting Department with additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
