About The Position

The Accounts Receivable Administrator is responsible for managing and optimizing the accounts receivable function to support the organization’s overall financial health. This role ensures the accurate recording of financial transactions, timely collection of outstanding receivables, and strong, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining efficient and compliant receivables processes.

Requirements

  • Accounts receivable experience ranging from 0 to 2 years
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Prioritization and management of multiple competing tasks
  • Keen interest in solving problems
  • Operate as an owner and see issues and opportunities through to end state
  • Ability to work independently and within a team is key
  • Attention to detail is paramount
  • A curious mindset to uncover and recommend AI use cases that streamline processes and drive departmental efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Primary focus is Canadian accounts receivable processing and supporting: Invoicing and cash applications
  • Customer account reconciliation
  • Investigate and resolve customer payment discrepancies, deductions, and short payments in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Collection communication with customers
  • Execute month-end tasks and reconciliations
  • Assist with annual financial statement audit
  • Resolve emails received in the AR inbox
  • Provide backup and transactional support for US and International AR
  • Routinely evaluate existing processes to identify efficiencies and make recommendations to senior team members
