About The Position

This position will manage, review, and supervise Accounts Payable (A/P) for the campus in accordance with established policies and procedures and state guidelines. To ensure that financial data is maintained and reported in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Requirements

Working knowledge of accounting procedures (Accounts Payable, Inventory and Fund Accounting).
Working knowledge of automated financial systems.
Extensive sitting/keying on a computer.
Sporadic retrieval of input/output documents requiring frequent standing, walking, bending and reaching.
Some lifting required in handling and storage of documents.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of state and hospital procurement procedures and state and federal guidelines.
Considerable knowledge and application of accounting and financial reporting.
Ability to work in a complex environment with little supervision.
Excellent mathematical, communication, verification, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Keen eye for detail.
Ability to direct and supervise the works of others while managing a complex and heavy workload.
Considerable knowledge and application of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Experience with Cardinal, the Commonwealth's accounting system.
Strong time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, dead-line driven environment.
Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Virginia's e-Procurement system (eVA).
