About The Position

As an Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will own and elevate the AP function in a growing company. This is a hands-on leadership role—you’ll manage and coach a team, drive accuracy, efficiency and innovation, scale operations and strengthen controls. In this mission-critical role, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations and ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors and employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field and a minimum of 4 years’ Accounts Payable experience with 2+ years of effectively leading a team in a high-volume company, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Advanced level of Excel proficiency required (lookups, pivot tables, etc.).

  • Proven track record of coaching and developing team members
  • Experience improving and scaling AP processes in a fast-paced growing company
  • Experience with AP automation tools or implementations
  • Ability to balance big-picture improvements with day-to-day execution
  • Exposure to audit and internal controls
  • Experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Training, motivating, and evaluating Accounts Payable staff members
  • Oversee end-to-end AP: invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payments, ensuring accurate and timely processing in a high-volume environment
  • Lead automation and AP system enhancements
  • Building and maintaining relationships with vendors and colleagues.
  • Handle escalations and partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues quickly
  • Developing, implementing and enforcing policies and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Vendor management, including 1099 reporting, unclaimed property, and banking information.
  • Ability to work with multiple departments and ensure deadlines are met
  • Review and approve monthly credit card expenses
  • Collaborate with Treasury on funding requirements
  • Support month-end close and audit requests
