About The Position

The Supervisor Accounting oversees and participates in all aspects of accounting functions for multiple legal entities as assigned. The Supervisor is responsible for the development of best practices, improving the quality of processes, maintaining electronic support records, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The Supervisor will play a role in the security of the organization's assets by implementing processes and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or other related field of study
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Financial Accounting
  • Utilizing electronic data including accounting data within an ERP system, extracting and formatting ERP data exports and the ability to maintain organized electronic paperless records on shared drives and multiple file folders
  • Advanced proficiency in industry-related applications and Microsoft office
  • Demonstrate effective judgement and outstanding analytical/problem solving skills
  • Competency in team building skills with accountability to those teams
  • Proficient in developing, analyzing, and presenting reports
  • Engage in collaborative problem-solving manner that focuses on generating effective solutions consistent with the organization's financial policies and procedures
  • Effective change by assuming leadership roles in interdisciplinary teams and supporting the growth and development of department personnel
  • Work in a fast-paced team environment, meet deadlines, manage a high volume of transactions, and adapt well to change
  • Proficient in developing, analyzing, and presenting reports

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 4-8 years of relevant experience in Financial Accounting
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in healthcare setting
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Oracle Fusion ERP system and Supervisor experience

Responsibilities

  • Assists the manager/director by delegating job duty assignments to various staff as needed
  • Achieves department goals of developing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Testing system upgrades and providing support for system integrations
  • Recommends and participates in automation project initiatives and testing of new processes, including global harmonization of practices, documenting process narratives, and workflows
  • Manages general ledgers in accordance with posting policies
  • Analyzes general ledger accounting in accordance with the ERP system and group accounting policies
  • Maintains compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
