Requirements

• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Data entry skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – including Outlook and Excel
• Ability to learn new software
• Attention to detail
• Organization
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Some experience in an administrative or accounting role is preferred

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in accounting or business administration can be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records – process invoices in a timely manner
• Fortify vendor relationships by – Communicating clearly and consistently with vendors, Advocating on behalf of vendors to the Elmington team, Taking ownership of paying invoices on time, Handling disputes
• Reconcile accounts
• Reclass items through journal entries
• Update utility tracking logs for each project
• Process checks and online payments weekly
• Prevent fraud through our Positive-Pay banking system
• Issue and file form 1099 at year end
• Manage our credit card software
