About The Position

The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for the successful operation of the Accounts Payable Department. This individual will oversee day-to-day operations, implement the strategic vision of the department and support the development and achievement of Department and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • A hands-on approach to leadership with the ability to be strategic, see the big picture, remaining attentive to detail with exemplary follow-through skills.
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field is required.
  • Five (5) or more years job related progressive management experience in Finance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with various processes of A/P automation to include Invoice Scanning, EDI, ACH, and Corporate Credit card payments.
  • PeopleSoft (Oracle) or other relevant software and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and posts accounts payable vouchers to general ledger.
  • Reconciles accounts payable control accounts to sub-ledger detail.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with IRS Form W-9 and IRS Form 1099 requirements.
  • Prepares or participates in the annual filing of 1099’s for all entities.
  • Participates in internal and external audits.
  • Manages the unclaimed property process and ensures compliance to state guidelines for timely filing and reporting.
  • Sales and Use tax accruals and assist with sales/use tax filings and audits.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and lenders.
