About The Position

Community Options, Inc., a national nonprofit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states, is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator. This office-based position in the Princeton, New Jersey office is responsible for processing a high volume of accounts payable invoices accurately and promptly. The starting pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimal state training as required.
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
At least one year of accounts payable experience.
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Knowledge of general accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing checks.

Responsibilities

Prepare vouchers for data entry by obtaining proper approvals, reviewing invoices for accuracy, noting the status of past-due payments, coding, and proofing.
Enter data and post invoices through accounts payable to the general ledger.
Assist with billing inquiries and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Maintain and enter recurring payments, updating changes as needed.
File accounts payable and general ledger reports as needed.
File payment vouchers as needed.
Prepare journal entries for miscoded items as needed.
Set up new vendors and post manual checks in the system as needed.
Prepare pre-check registers and aged payable reports.
Mail vendor payments as necessary.
Complete credit applications as needed before authorization.
Print approved checks.
