A growing transportation and logistics company is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join its finance team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and playing an important role in keeping financial operations running smoothly. The Accounts Payable Clerk will manage the full accounts payable process, ensuring invoices are processed accurately, vendor accounts are maintained, and payments are completed on time. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple departments while contributing to efficient and accurate financial operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Nice To Haves
- Associate's degree in Accounting preferred
Responsibilities
- Process and code vendor invoices accurately and timely
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts
- Prepare and process accounts payable payments, including checks
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Maintain vendor records and supporting documentation
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments
- Monitor general ledger coding and ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist with reporting, reconciliations, and other accounting projects as needed
