About The Position

The Accounts Payable Analyst provides disbursements analysis and reporting. The incumbent will develop, maintain and evaluate processing standards and internal controls. S/he will work with the AP Manager to recommend improvements to enhance the departments effectiveness and will support initiatives to drive standardization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting
• 3+ years Accounts Payable experience.
• Excellent computer skills, especially Excel, Power Point.
• Expertise in excel required
• Technologically savvy and able to learn new software
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong Customer Focus
• Strong organization skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills – verbal, written and facilitation
• Excellent collaborator with demonstrated capability to partner with other business functions and internal stakeholders

Nice To Haves

• experienced with reporting and data base tools preferred
• Experience with JDE, SAP, ARIBA, and other enterprise systems, a plus

Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts payable aging to ensure payments are processed in a timely manner
• Subject matter expert for banking and payment related issues
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues with vendors, providing timely response to all inquiries
• Assist in the development of key performance measures to ensure the Accounts Payable Department is running efficiently and responds to stakeholder needs
• Assist with month-end AP close and preparation of reports under tight deadlines
• Analyze processes and recommend improvements to streamline department processes
• Assume additional analytical responsibilities as assigned
• Maintain and follow TMC Quality System requirements
• Associate is responsible to follow requirements of applicable national and international regulations
• Other duties as assigned
