About The Position

IES Infrastructure is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Accounting Specialist to support accounting operations, primarily in accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP). The role processes financial transactions, maintains accounting records, and supports the organization’s day-to-day financial activities. This is a full-time, hourly, onsite position in Massillon, Ohio, paying $25.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Previous accounting experience.
• Previous experience working in both accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor outstanding customer balances and maintain accurate accounts receivable records.
• Post and apply customer payments to the appropriate accounts.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer account issues.
• Prepare and distribute customer statements as needed.
• Assist with collections and follow up on past-due accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain organized documentation of invoices, payments, and account activity.
• Receive, review, code, and process vendor invoices for payment.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders, receipts, and supporting documentation.
• Enter invoices and payment information accurately into the accounting system.
• Assist with weekly and monthly payment processing.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records.
• Ensure invoices are properly approved and processed according to company procedures.
• Assist with the company credit card.
