About The Position

Compass Group's Compass Technology Finance department is seeking an Accounting Analyst intern. The position offers the opportunity to gain experience while working with vendors and internal customers to research and resolve concerns. The internship is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and runs from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027. It is a paid internship scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position is not eligible for paid time off or benefits such as medical, dental, or vision coverage. Employment-based visa and permanent residency sponsorship are not available.

Responsibilities

• Research and escalate billing errors with vendors and Compass Tech Managers.
• Analyze, compare, and organize data from various sources and vendors.
• Research supporting documentation and support against vendor invoices, purchase orders, and requests.
• Use the SAP system to research invoice status.
• Create and maintain cost center and employee information on IT equipment.
• Ensure business spending is with approved vendors.
• Prepare monthly journal entries, payments, and reconciliations.
• Research and resolve general ledger account variances.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
