About The Position

Apache Casino Hotel is seeking an Accounting Clerk II to join their team. This full-time position involves processing biweekly payroll and monthly bonuses, providing payroll support to over 400 team members, and compiling payroll data. The role also includes verifying transactions against financial policies, maintaining records for month-end reporting, assisting with administrative tasks and reconciliations, processing weekly Accounts Payable checks, and assisting with the monthly closing of accounts payable records and the vendor licensing process. The Accounting Clerk II will maintain department records, perform data entry for other finance department areas, and ensure all functions comply with company policies and procedures. Excellent customer service, regular attendance, and adherence to the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program are expected.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skill, and ability to work with personal computers and accounting systems.
  • Six months' related experience and/or training in an administrative or accounting office environment performing clerical duties.
  • Strong computer and math skills.
  • Effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and financial data-based programs.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a license from the Fort Sill Apache Gaming Commission.
  • Pass a background check and drug-screening test.
  • Obtain a gaming license.

Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly payroll and monthly bonuses timely and accurately.
  • Provide payroll support to 400+ team members using the payroll system.
  • Compile payroll data including garnishments, PTO, and 401(k) deductions.
  • Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
  • Compile and maintain records for month-end reporting.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and reconciling as needed.
  • Process Accounts Payable checks on a weekly basis.
  • Assist with the monthly closing of accounts payable records.
  • Assist with the vendor licensing process.
  • Maintain department records and files as directed.
  • Perform data entry for other areas of the finance department as assigned.
  • Perform all functions in accordance with direction, established company policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by reporting supervisor or by Finance department management.
  • Understand and comply with the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program.
  • Adhere to and act in accordance with all casino policies and procedures, and applicable federal, state and tribal regulations.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
