ACCOUNTANT - SALEM, OR
About The Position
Bon Appétit Management Company is hiring an Accountant in Salem, Oregon. This is an in-office position with a Monday–Friday schedule and a stated pay range of $60,000 to $65,000. The Accountant is responsible for accurate and timely reconciliation of Compass depository accounts, corporate insurance accounts, and corporate investment accounts. The role works with banks, armored carriers, regional controllers, accountants, field operations and accounting teams, and third-party banking vendors to investigate and resolve errors and ledger discrepancies. It also books maintenance and corrective journal entries and serves as a liaison among these groups. Bon Appétit Management Company operates cafés for corporations, universities, and museums, as well as public restaurants. It emphasizes socially and environmentally responsible sourcing and scratch cooking with fresh, local ingredients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
- Two years of accounting experience.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively with associates at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
- Detail-oriented team player with initiative.
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of SAP Financial and/or Access.
- Previous account reconciliation software experience.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and promptly reconcile Compass depository accounts, corporate insurance accounts, and corporate investment accounts.
- Work with banks and armored carriers to research and resolve errors and discrepancies.
- Work with Regional Controllers and Accountants to research and resolve ledger discrepancies.
- Book maintenance and corrective journal entries.
- Act as a liaison among Field Operations and Accounting, banks, and third-party banking vendors.
