About The Position

We’re looking for an Account Specialist — someone who blends the art of servicing accounts with the drive of sales. This is not your typical call center role. You’ll be the go-to advisor for our top-tier wholesale accounts, offering white-glove support and curated product solutions. At the same time, you’ll be the friendly expert who helps other customers schedule one-on-one consultations, making sure every interaction feels personalized and impactful. If you thrive on building relationships, spotting opportunities, and helping customers succeed, this role is made for you.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in inside sales, territory management, or related B2B role – wholesale industry experience preferred.
  • A relationship-builder at heart with proven success in account management and consultative selling.
  • Excellent communicator — you know how to connect over phone, video, or email and leave a lasting impression.
  • Highly organized and able to juggle multiple accounts, consultations, and projects without missing a beat.
  • Comfortable analyzing customer data and using insights to inform recommendations.
  • Passionate about the wholesale gift and home décor industry — you stay on top of trends, understand what drives retail success, and love helping accounts grow.
  • Flexible enough to travel occasionally for trade shows or key customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Be the dedicated point of contact for a select group of accounts, providing proactive communication, tailored product recommendations, and strategic growth support.
  • Host scheduled consultations with accounts seeking one-on-one guidance, delivering personalized solutions that match their business goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor — understanding account buying history, seasonal needs, and market opportunities to suggest curated assortments.
  • Share new product launches, promotions, and trends in a way that excites customers and drives measurable results.
  • Provide training or guidance on PBK tools and resources (website, digital catalogs, ordering systems) so accounts can maximize efficiency
  • Collaborate with internal teams across Customer Service, Marketing, Product Development, and Operations to create a seamless customer experience.
  • Collaborate on promotional strategies or seasonal initiatives to help accounts succeed
  • Keep accurate records of account activity and consultation notes to track progress, opportunities, and growth.
  • Represent PBK at trade shows, virtual appointments, and customer events as needed.
  • Consistently hit (and aim to exceed) sales and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Responsibility for sales growth across one of 5 multi-state regions
