About The Position

Airport Express Shuttle, Inc. is a leading provider of convenient and affordable airport transportation. We are seeking a meticulous and self-motivated Remote Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full accounts receivable cycle, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and maintaining positive relationships with our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to thrive in a flexible, fully remote environment. The hourly rate for this position is $28 - $29 USD per hour.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar accounting role.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection procedures.
• High proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, and experience with accounting software.
• Exceptional numerical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and maintain motivation in a remote work setting.
• A professional and courteous demeanour when dealing with customers and internal stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• A relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or book-keeping is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Process, verify, and post receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
• Generate and dispatch customer invoices and monthly statements.
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
• Proactively follow up on outstanding invoices and manage collection activities.
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or customer queries with a high level of professionalism.
• Maintain comprehensive and organised accounts receivable files and records.
• Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable status to management.
• Assist in general financial management and analysis as required.
