About The Position

This role is for an Account Manager focused on Commercial Plumbing & Drain Services. The company has established plumbers, trucks, and long-term commercial customers. The primary need is for someone to manage existing accounts, grow them, and acquire new ones. The territory covers Northeast Ohio and includes property management companies, building owners, facility managers, restaurants, retail, industrial, and institutional accounts. The opportunity lies in expanding current customer usage and converting emergency services to scheduled maintenance programs. The sales will involve commercial plumbing service and repair, drain cleaning and jetting, camera inspection and locating, water heaters, fixture and piping work, preventative maintenance agreements, and emergency response. A key differentiator is the ability to sell Hammerhead CIPP trenchless lining, an alternative to traditional excavation for sewer repairs.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in sales, responsible for customers through outside sales, service sales, account management, or estimating.
  • Comfortable assessing mechanical systems in a building.
  • Ability to understand scope and price work independently.
  • Focus on profit margin.
  • Ability to manage a territory autonomously.
  • Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.

  • Experience in commercial plumbing.

Responsibilities

  • Walk buildings, scope the work, and price it accurately.
  • Write estimates and proposals, and follow up to secure sales.
  • Convert emergency service customers into contract customers.
  • Onboard new accounts, ensuring clear scope, pricing, expectations, and a smooth first service call.
  • Coordinate with dispatch to ensure technicians are well-informed before service calls.
  • Maintain customer contact throughout the job and follow up afterward.
  • Pursue new business opportunities with property management groups, GCs, facility directors, and multi-location operators.
