About The Position

The Account Manager is responsible for ensuring projects are clean, green, and detailed. This role involves completing punch list items in a timely manner by collaborating with Crew Supervisors, Staff, and Irrigation Technicians. The Account Manager reports to the Regional Manager and supports their efforts to align property goals. The primary function is to service maintenance accounts, complete punch lists, handle service requests, and conduct site walks, with consistent follow-up communication with clients and Mission management. This role also involves managing and directing Crew Supervisors, Staff, and Irrigation Technicians to meet maintenance specifications, focusing on grass, weeds, trimming, cleanliness, and safety. Additionally, the Account Manager is responsible for keeping clients satisfied and accounts maintained according to specifications, as well as managing, training, and coaching the team in line with company values. This includes timely submission of staff payroll, invoicing, proposals for minor items, and other paperwork, along with monthly reports on equipment and tool inventories and truck usage. The role also encompasses interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems. The overarching expectation is to ensure accounts and staff operate safely, productively, and achieve profit goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum three years related Account Manager experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Fluent in English language skills (verbal and written) required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid California drivers license with a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.
  • California state Pest Control Applicator's License.

Responsibilities

  • Service maintenance accounts, completion of punch lists, service requests and site walks with follow up communication with client and Mission management.
