About The Position

The Account Manager is envisioned as a "Trusted Advisor" for an established customer base, with a primary focus on maintaining and expanding long-term relationships with electrical contractors and industrial users. This involves leveraging deep technical expertise and providing proactive project support. The role is structured around three core pillars: "Know Your Customer," which emphasizes relationship and market mastery through account stewardship, loyalty architecture, and market intelligence; "Know Your Business," focusing on operational and product excellence by maintaining technical expertise in the wire and cable portfolio, strategic sourcing, and disciplined use of CRM for quote management; and "Culture, Values & Strategy," which promotes process and alignment through a one-team mentality, operational integrity, and value-added selling. The position is compensated with a salary plus commission, requiring a proactive approach to identifying and closing opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in account management.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop strategic account plans.

  • Experience in inside sales or regional sales environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture relationships with accounts to maximize client satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and execute account development strategies to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within assigned territories.
  • Collaborate with the branch and sales teams to achieve account goals.
  • Monitor account performance metrics and prepare regular reports to communicate progress and forecast future sales.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery of products and services.
