About The Position

Trayd is seeking its founding Account Manager to be the commercial owner for every customer, managing renewals, expansion, and relationships with decision-makers. This role focuses on growth after the initial sale, with expansion deals handled from initial conversation to signature. Unlike support or onboarding roles, this position is focused on commercial needs that arise from customer growth or evolving requirements, such as outgrowing a plan or needing new integrations. The Account Manager will decide when and how to act on these commercial opportunities.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience owning renewals and closing expansion in B2B SaaS, with a proven track record of meeting quotas or retention targets.
  • Experience managing a book of approximately 100 accounts.
  • Experience building and owning a renewal and expansion forecast.
  • Demonstrated ability to build processes where none existed, such as renewal calendars, playbooks, and CRM fields.
  • Comfortable representing the company at industry events, including some evenings and local travel.
  • Must be NYC-based or willing to relocate quickly.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, payroll, compliance, or vertical SaaS.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for account preparation, training, or QBR material.

Responsibilities

  • Own renewals and expansion for the full book of accounts, including timing, terms, pricing, and scope changes.
  • Manage expansion deals from start to finish, covering Professional Services tiers, Trayd Accounting, paid accounting integrations, seats, add-ons, and new entities.
  • Handle conversations regarding billing, fees, and tier adjustments, particularly for accounts whose support needs exceed their current plan.
  • Deliver a monthly forecast for renewals, expansion, and retention.
  • Take over the commercial relationship from Sales at the point of handoff to ensure customers have a dedicated contact.
  • Identify and engage with all decision-makers within each account.
  • Conduct check-ins with every account twice a year, with increased attention to larger accounts.
  • Manage customer escalations, including response, internal team coordination, and resolution.
  • Represent Trayd at construction industry events to foster in-person customer relationships.
  • Act on commercial signals from the Customer Success Management (CSM) team and account data, exercising judgment on the timing of commercial conversations.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to build a customer referral database, identifying customers for references, case studies, and referral sources, and developing associated incentive programs.
  • Build renewal tracking systems, expansion pipelines, Quarterly Business Review (QBR) criteria, and associated CRM workflows.
  • Shape the account management system in collaboration with Operations and Engineering.
