About The Position

The Account Manager III is an internal sales role responsible for growing profit of the portfolio by deepening existing customer relationships. This job will maximize profitability, revenue and retention of existing relationships by cross selling the full range of products and services. The Account Manager III is the primary contact for a portfolio of relationships, and the secondary client contact for relationships managed by the Relationship Manager.

Requirements

  • 4 year degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Proven understanding of commercial credit decision process
  • Proven credit, financial analysis and accounting skills
  • Proven knowledge of commercial legal and regulatory guidelines
  • Proven Customer service and relationship management skills, including proven track record of building and expanding Customer relationships
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Proven supervisory skills
  • Proven communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

  • Administers and monitors largest portfolio of most complex commercial loans; Manages loan relationships within the portfolio
  • Build revenue to exceed growth goals for the portfolio through cross selling products to existing clients, and building a referral base of new clientele
  • Ensures accuracy within maintenance of Customer records, including credit administration, exception and risk management, and files and updates information as needed; Prepares in-depth management reports summarizing portfolio activity
  • Administers existing loans to ensure complete conformity with terms and adequacy of documentation, including preparation of review memos; coordinates with operations and processing areas to ensure loan payments are collected and recorded
  • Provides comments in Customer credit files to ensure information remains current
  • Will perform regular site visits to audit accounts and ensure adherence to loan agreements and terms; occasionally accompanies Relationship Managers during sales calls to assist with account details and implementation
  • Provides technical guidance and assists staff with most complex aspects of work as necessary
  • Provides training and mentoring for new and less experienced staff
  • Contributes and provides input to loan decision processes based on evaluation of credit risk and other key factors from Credit Management
  • Coordinates with operations and processing areas to ensure loan payments are collected and recorded
  • Utilizes limited personal credit authority under the direction of the Relationship Manager, for the benefit of Customers and efficiency of the lending process
