About The Position

Westlake Financial is seeking an Account Manager II - Collections for their Credit Card division. This role involves managing accounts that are significantly past due, requiring proactive customer contact, skip tracing to locate difficult-to-reach customers, and achieving monthly collection goals. Requirements

Skiptrace Knowledge
Some experience in credit card collections or a related financial services role.
Willing and able to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to collections, including the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.
Good computer and typing skills.
Team player.
Good negotiation skills; excellent telephone etiquette.
General knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
Web navigation and/or web-based applications.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
3+ years of Backend subprime collections.
Auto Collections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee handling of accounts that have fallen over three payments past due.
Contact customers via phone and skip trace to locate customers that are difficult to get a hold of.
Achieve monthly collection goals.
Incorporate several skip trace techniques as well as negotiation skills to cure accounts.
Use skip trace knowledge to skip on customers.
Collect accounts that are past due three or more payments.
Bring delinquency down in set queue.
Call customers that are past due three payments.
Skip trace to locate customers that are delinquent and collateral.
Make arrangements and negotiate with delinquent accounts to bring current.
Handle high volume calls in a fast-paced environment.
