About The Position

Westlake Financial is hiring an Account Representative for its credit card collections team. The role handles accounts that are more than three payments past due, contacting customers by phone and using skip-tracing techniques to locate customers and collateral. The representative works toward monthly goals, negotiates payment arrangements to cure delinquent accounts, and helps reduce delinquency in an assigned queue. The work involves handling high-volume calls in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of backend subprime collections experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skip-tracing knowledge.
• Some experience in credit card collections or a related financial services role.
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to collections, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
• Good computer and typing skills.
• Team-player skills.
• Good negotiation skills and excellent telephone etiquette.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Web navigation and/or web-based applications.
