About The Position

Westlake Financial is seeking an Account Manager II - Collections for their Credit Card division. This role involves managing accounts that are over three payments past due, contacting customers via phone, and utilizing skip tracing techniques to locate difficult-to-reach individuals. The Account Manager will be responsible for meeting monthly collection goals through negotiation and skip tracing. This is a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to handle high-volume calls.

Requirements

• Some experience in credit card collections or a related financial services role.
• Willing and able to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to collections, including the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.
• Good computer and typing skills.
• Team player.
• Good negotiation skills; excellent telephone etiquette.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
• Web navigation and/or web-based applications.

• Skiptrace Knowledge
• 3+ years of Backend subprime collections Auto Collections experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Collect accounts that are past due three or more payments.
• Bring delinquency down in set queue.
• Call customers that are past due three payments.
• Skip trace to locate customers that are delinquent and collateral.
• Make arrangements and negotiate with delinquent accounts to bring them current.
• Handle high volume calls in a fast-paced environment.
