About The Position

The Account Executive is responsible for maximizing profitable sales growth by representing Shamrock Foods Company products and services on a commission basis to restaurants, resorts, hotels, and other institutional establishments through face-to-face interactions. The role builds and develops a customer territory, supports customer success, maintains accounts, and uses technology to improve customer efficiency and experience. Starting compensation is $40,000–$100,000 per year based on performance-goal achievement, with compensation eventually transitioning to a commission basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma and/or GED required.
• Current driver's license.
• Demonstrated expertise in problem solving.
• Comfort using technology and analyzing customer data.
• Knowledge of industry trends.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor's degree.
• Two or more years of experience in culinary, restaurant operations, foodservice, or related work.
• Previous successful sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Prospect new customers and build a territory to grow the customer base.
• Maintain the current customer base and grow the share of each customer’s business.
• Support customer menu engineering.
• Support food cost analysis to reduce waste and improve customer profitability.
• Consume and share market intelligence and industry trends.
• Conduct product demonstrations and comparisons by bringing sample products to customers’ restaurants or facilities.
• Facilitate demonstrations of capabilities available to support customers.
• Share new product innovations using Shamrock resources.
• Build relationships at multiple levels within the businesses served.
• Keep accounts current by optimizing sales, service, and delivery, and collecting past-due customer balances.
• Leverage technology to improve customer efficiency and enhance customer experience.
• Participate in ongoing training to continuously develop skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
