Account Executive Hospice
About The Position
Amedisys, part of the Optum family of businesses, provides home health, hospice, and community-based services. The Hospice Liaison/Hospice Sales Rep generates referrals and drives census growth by building relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and community providers. The role educates partners about hospice services, facilitates timely referrals and smooth care transitions, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team while maintaining a compassionate, patient-first approach. The role travels 50% or more within the assigned territory. The position offers a salary range of $62,320 to $93,480 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare-related business development or outreach role.
- Reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and liability insurance.

Responsibilities
- Educates health care professionals, patients, and families about home care services.
- Develops and maintains relationships with key referral sources, such as hospitals, nursing homes, and physician offices, to generate leads.
- Coordinates patient admissions with the team, including obtaining required documentation to complete the referral-to-admission process.
- Conducts on-site visits to assess patient needs and identify barriers to care.
- Keeps accurate records of patient interactions and referrals.
- Achieves admissions, product, and payor-mix goals.
- Meets short- and long-term target account goals.
- Documents the minimum expectation of daily sales calls in CRM, including pre- and post-call notes.
- Maintains a complete, up-to-date record of targeted referral sources in the territory in CRM.
- Attends community events to promote Amedisys.
- Responds to customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
